Due to geographical position Zarnesti town has great opportunities in the field of tourism development
in particular the mountain. The tourists came in town can see that Zarnesti is not a very developed one
but they can practice tourism in optimal conditions. The presents of the agro-tourist guesthouses and
Chalets make from Zarnesti a town where to practice recreation tourism knows as "green" or "ecological".
Tourists can come to Zarnesti and stay over night at hostels in the city or the nearby area Plaiul Foii,
Poiana Marului or Tohanita-Predelut. They can practice climbing, riding , mountain walks or may take
advantage of the true nature and its splendor in the most wild areas of Europe, namely in Piatra Craiului
where the population of wild animals is very numerous. Also Piatra Craiului is the main tourist attraction
area of the Zarnesti, being the main base of departure to the most and the most beautiful tourist routes
of this mountain. They can practice walks with carts pulled by horses to the communes Magura or Pestera,
or may practice so called "bird watching" in Zarnesti Keys or surroundings. The tourist potential of the
area is huge and can not express in words. Zarnesti is an excellent point on the tourist map with respect
to the beauty of places, people and hospitality places where you can accommodate.
At present guesthouses or holiday homes network is expanding, which not only makes us enjoy.
The number of tourists is still small though it is growing, the owners of the hostels having many more
places than the number of tourists. We hope that in coming years to increase the number of tourists,

Newer appeared in the forest near the city "Bears Reservation from Zarnesti" where are several copies of
this breed widespread on our lands who were assaulted or bad care of in zoological gardens or in certain
areas not wild, because these bears do not come from areas like mountain forest in the area of Brasov
Tampa, but bears have taken contact with humans more often and are least wild. This reserve is closed
for the moment to the public, but different groups of tourists against an amount of money, had access to
